Doors
Single and double doors, French doors with divided glass, plank doors for sheds and wide swing doors for workshops and garages.
Windows
Cedar-framed windows with divided lites, fixed or opening, plus shutters and flower boxes.
Gates
Side-yard and garden gates with arched or flat tops, lattice panels and pergola-style headers.

Why cedar
Cedar contains natural oils that help it resist rot and insects, which matters for a door or gate that faces rain and snow every year. It is light for its strength, stays straight when it is well dried and takes stain or paint well. Left unfinished, it weathers to a soft silver grey.
A coat of stain or sealer every few years keeps the colour and protects the end grain, especially at the bottom of doors and gates.
Made to match the structure
Because we build the structure and the doors and windows together, the style carries through. A cedar shed can have a plank door with strap hinges and shuttered windows. A cabana or cedar gazebo can have French doors and windows with divided lites. Gates can echo the lattice or the pergola on the other side of the yard. On a cabana, doors and windows are among the features worth planning into a cabana from the start.
- Hardware. Strap hinges, thumb latches, handles and locks chosen to suit the style.
- Glass. Clear or frosted glass, with divided lites for a traditional look.
- Trim and extras. Window trim, shutters, flower boxes and gate headers in matching cedar.

How it works
We design the doors, windows and gates during the free design consultation, along with the rest of the structure. If your project needs a permit, they are shown on the plans and permit drawings. Everything is built in our Aurora shop and installed on site.
